5th class recently too part in the Junior Entrepreneur county showcase day in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow
The Glebe NS took part in the Leinster schools swimming gala in Kilkenny. They had a fantastic day and came home with lots of medals. Well done to all who took part.
As part of Active school week, 5th class had a trip down to the Outdoor gym along the Murrough.
The school competed in a 3km cross country event in Avondale on Tuesday where 5th & 6th class took part, one of the boys even won 2nd place in his race. It is a fantastic achievement for all who took part to be able to run 3km.
5th class thoroughly enjoyed their tour of the Famine ship “Jeanie Johnston” on a day trip to Dublin.
6th class and 5th class girls enjoyed a wonderful morning of science at the Dominican Secondary school. 5th class had great fun learning about Alexander Graham Bell’s tetrahedral kite. Not only did they have a go at making their own, but they also took a trip down to the much windier Murrough to see if they could fly.
The Sport’s day medals were presented to all the lucky sport’s day winners to smile’s all round, especially to the Junior Infants who all received one for participating in the day.
