6th class enjoyed a very exciting Basketball match against Wicklow Montessori and are looking forward to the return game.
6th class were very fortunate to have Cathy from the Irish tug of war association to come in and teach them how to properly compete in a Tug of war competition. They had lots of fun and very much enjoyed the competition.
The school competed in a 3km cross country event in Avondale on Tuesday where 5th & 6th class took part, one of the boys even won 2nd place in his race. It is a fantastic achievement for all who took part to be able to run 3km.
6th class have been learning all about the 1916 Rising. 6th class enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book character for World Book Day as well as taking part in lots of fun activities. They particularly enjoyed playing “Who am I?” where they had to question their friends to try and work out which famous book character they were.
Today is World Thinking day for the Girl Guides. Some girls wore their Guides uniform to school today as it is the Birthday of the founding member of Girl Guides. Each year on then 22nd Feb, Girl guides round the world wear their uniforms to promote awareness of their organisation.
