This year we are renewing our Green School flag. The theme for this year’s flag is water.
The Green school committee, headed up by our very own Ms Vogan, organised an ‘Action day for Water’ this week, to place even more emphasis on our conservation of water efforts in the Glebe School.
Children in junior infants, senior infants and 1st class did experiments with water including floating and sinking and bubbles while children in 2nd and 3rd had a penguin race and a quantities matching game. Children in 4th, 5th and 6th class had relay races with reused water in buckets trying their best not to let any water fall out and they did a water quiz. Children in 4th – 6th will also be participating in a workshop but due to the recent weather this will take place later in the year.
