Clontarf Choral Competition
The Glebe School choir will be competing in the first annual Clontarf Choral Competition this March. They sang ‘Amazing Grace’ and ‘Amani Utupe’. Another wonderful performance!
Songs for Syria
In November 2017, the Glebe School Choir were asked to sing for ‘Songs for Syria’, an initiative set up to raise vital money for a Syrian family due to move to the town. All the primary schools were asked to sing together and some also sang individual pieces. We sang ‘Come Thou Fount’ and did a fantastic job! The finale involved all primary schools singing the much loved ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ with the other choirs and performers from around the Wicklow town area. The event was organised by Anthony Norton and was enjoyed by all. More information can be found by visiting http://www.wicklowsyriaappeal.com/
Diocesan Schools Choirs Competition
In 2017, the choir competed in the Diocesan Schools Choirs Competition in Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday 2nd April. They sang ‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra and ‘Come Thou Fount’ by Sufjan Stevens which were both accompanied by Klass de Vries. Huge congratulations are owed to each child for the performance of a lifetime. Thanks to all who made it possible.
